Leo, a normally sweet but very large, dog (Bouvier des Flandres), had developed some bad habits of lunging and snapping at other dogs and people especially while on leash. The growly dog class provided both of us with the retraining that we needed. We went back to the basics, and he responded wonderfully to the daily attention, training, consistent methods, and perhaps a little bit of liverwurst. The trainer and coaches were terrific to work with, and it was a very positive experience. Thank you. I highly recommend it to people dealing with reactive dogs.

IT WORKED!!  Had Sally out for her walk today and ran into a neighbor.  From about 40' started doing the watch me with treat at my nose and the hand touch and NO BARKING!  Of course it was a neighbor that wanted to chat so stayed about 10' from him while making her touch/watch.  Will continue to go slow but can't wait until the weather warms so we can try some new places.   I really appreciate you and Tom Kandt taking time to meet with me. I will stay in touch.

Bella and want to thank you for all the dog training and just plain fun we had with you during the year. You had a variety of classes and always was fun training with you. Bella and I are doing nose work and she is getting her ORT in January. Her and I do agility training on our own and she can weave around poles. Sure miss all the variety of training and relaxed atmosphere you provided. Keep it up and good luck to you.

Gunnar and I are still working on training. We have had people over where he has gone to his crate and stayed for extended periods of time. He is good unless he hears them talking. But he does settle back down.
He has also made great progress at the dog park. I think he feels  safe there. He has interacted with several strange dogs with positive behavior and yesterday he even played a little. He also let other people be close to him. If big dogs come to the common fence, I can get him away from it (and to stop barking) by using the find it game.
Thanks for all of your help. Gunnar is by now means perfect, but we are all learning to understand each other in a more positive way.

Patrice retrieved a ball from under a trailer last week, just crawled right under there. She never would have done that before agility training.

I just wanted to thank you, once again, for letting us crash your class! Both Josie and Webster had a blast tonight.
I was surprised by Webster and his enthusiasm. When Vicki took us over to the tunnel, I thought that it may be a bit too much for him, but he did it; and then wanted to explore the longer one at the end of class! I think the class will be great for his confidence!
The hardest thing was getting them to go back into the vehicle when I switched dogs - neither one wanted to miss out on the action!
Thanks so much, and see you next Thursday!
